Breaking

Breaking, also called breakdancing or b-boying / b-girling, is an athletic style of street dance originating from the African American community in the United States. Breakdancing consists mainly of four kinds of movement: toprock, downrock, power moves and freezes.

Breakdancing is typically set to songs containing drum breaks, especially in hip-hop, funk, soul and breakbeat music. Breaking incorporates moves from a variety of sources including martial arts, gymnastics, yoga and calisthenics, and is an art form which requires supreme mental and physical fitness.

ABOUT MOHIT

Mohit has been doing breaking since 2010. He specialises in doing flashy power moves and tricks. Mohit won head-spin and flare battles at the 2012 UK Bboy Championship, and head-spin competitions at Breezer Vivid Shuffle 2018. He set a national record of 33 head-spin rounds on his head.

Mohit has won many national titles along with his team (Projekt Street Dance Crew). He has conducted workshops at IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kurukshetra and many more. Mohit believes that one should dance freely and with soul.

2)  We permit unlimited self-practice for students with monthlies. This is during open hours.

3)  Breaking attire is comprised of comfortable, breathable and stretchy exercise clothing; regular sports shoes; no jewellery; hair tied neatly; nails trimmed on hands and feet.

4)  Private session charges are for up to two participants; each additional participant pays the regular dropin fee. We accommodate a maximum of six participants per private session.
