Our mission is to bring our practices and great teachers to as many people as possible, regardless of ability to pay. We love nurturing talent and having a positive impact on the lives of our users. Our practices are technical and complex, and require both skilled teachers and committed students.
We are in the process of transitioning to an NGO (a charitable trust); our experience over the last ten years has been that the sports we support are not profitable, but rather have a social impact which we want to continue to enable.
We’ve gotten incredible support from a few members of our community as we switch to the NGO model, which will allow Delhi Rock to serve underprivileged members of society in the form of schools and other NGOs during the hours when we do not operate paid / retail activities (9 am to 3 pm on weekdays). This will allow our facilities to be fully utilised, and serve many more people.
Our hope is that with a change to the NGO model, communities will embrace Delhi Rock as their home (climbers, aerialists, yogis, traceurs, capoeiristas and so forth), and also step up to help, either through donations or volunteer effort. This has already begun.
We would like to ask you to treat the centre with care, it has been built for you. Please treat our facilities as you would your home, with due care and respect, and provide the same respect to your teachers and fellow practitioners.
This is our prayer, to bring together people from all walks of life in a harmonious fashion. Learning from one another, being inspired by great teachers and exponents of movement.
