Wilderness medicine address prevention, assessment and treatment of accidents and illnesses where definitive medical care is not readily available. It is also known as practicing medicine with limited resources available.
 
Whether you work with kids or adults in front country or backcountry, this is an essential skill which can prepare you to respond to an emergency. You will learn a system based approach to understand how our body functions in normal conditions and the effects of trauma or an illness.

ABOUT AMIT ARORA
 
Amit is based in Delhi and found his love for the mountains early in his life. He has been teaching leadership expeditions for organisations like NOLS, Northwest Outward Bound, Hanifl centre, Inme education, Chadwick international school.
 
Amit is a WEMT (Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician), He started teaching wilderness medicine courses in 2016, his bilingual ability makes him a unique fit for English and Hindi speakers. During his wilderness medicine career WFA, WAFA and WFR courses for Hanifl centre, Aerie Backcountry Medicine. He also conducted focused workshops and assessments for BoulderBox and INME education.
 
When he is not at work he loves to hike in the Himalayas.
