We’re really excited to work with Ria Bajaj – Ria is an excellent and well trained aerialist, and we’re hoping that if this series works, we can keep inviting her back to Delhi for periodic workshops to maintain our aerial practice post Dasha’s departure.

Ria Bajaj is an aerialist based in Mumbai who did her Aerial Silks Teachers Training program from Aerial Physique, LA and is now one of the few artists certified by ‘The American Circus Association’. Right after that she did an advanced Aerial Arts course from Womac and Bowman, LA. Her interest in fitness and aerial arts lead her to the ‘Climb and Spin’ and ‘Invert Drills’ teachers training (pole dance and fitness) from NYPole, New York. Ria also trained at Body and Pole, New York, The Circus Centre, ‘San Francisco Circus Centre’, San Francisco,  Aerial Athletica and Shine Fitness, Las Vegas.

This is for kids, ages 6 – 13, and to promise parents and kids something exciting, we’d like to offer an eight day intensive, followed straight away by a performance! So a way to gauge how much kids have learned and to inspire them to work hard.

Here’s a bit more about the program we’re offering:

In the initial days, the kids will learn basic grip, balance and stability techniques with postures on the silks. They will then go onto clubbing these poses to create simple but elegant routines. This will build their confidence levels and help them during the last couple of days in the workshop where they will learn more complex routines and try basic flips. This will help the kids improve grace, focus and build strength. At the end of the workshop we will strive to put together a performance/ recital for family and friends.

Following this, we’ll make slots available at Delhi Rock when Ria isn’t around, and parents can bring their kids in for supervised practice. And ideally with monthly visits in, we’ll be able to sustain our practice until we have someone in Delhi.

This series is from Saturday June 2nd to Saturday June 9th, two slots to choose from per day; and a performance on Sunday June 10th, in the afternoon, to be attended by parents and friends at Delhi Rock.

The two times available to choose from are:

June 2nd – 9th | 11.00 AM – 12.30 PM everyday

June 2nd – 9th | 3.00 PM – 4.30 PM everyday

Pricing is Rs 6,500 per child for the nine day program. Each slot will have a maximum size of eight children, two per silk effectively.

If you’d like to sign up, please head up to http://imojo.in/delhirock to pay; you’ll enter 6500 manually, and then indicate payment towards either “Aerial kids mornings” or “Aerial kids afternoons”.
