This session is good for beginners or even for people who have found the balance in handstand and want to work on their core strength and refine their line. The idea is to find a good form, develop core strength and shoulder mobility which can support posture like handstands.
In partner acrobatics – acroyoga, handstand training is an essential part of the practice for everyone. However for participants these drills can be a good addition to personal practice / fitness regime as drills help in developing core strength and mobility espc in upper body.
There will be partner drills involved so it’s safe and fun 🙂
The key elements taught will be:
• 15 mins warm up – shoulders and wrist focus
• Downward-facing dog push ups
• Hollow body posture explained
• Tightness drills – plank
• Handstand box drills
• Tuck jumps
• A.T.B. – Alignment, Tightness & Balance
• Cool down
