Dance, Move & Explore!

Does your little one enjoy creative expression and dance? We have a new course offering at Delhi Rock, starting 3rd of September, called Dance, Move and Explore! This class is suitable for children up to the age of 14.

Rea Krishna, who has been a dance and movement practitioner, will be playing with the concept of spacial and internal bodily awareness through movement, allowing for self-expression and exploring one’s imagination.

Your child will be able to use Delhi Rock’s unique combination of facilities, including dance and padded floors, aerial silks, climbing and bouldering walls and slackline to explore movement. Rea will not be limiting your child to any one style.

Her philosophy is that the mind affects movement, and vice versa, allowing your child to play an active role to lead through dance and play. Your child may be able to enjoy more confidence and find satisfaction in utilising a movement language that may be influenced by, but is not directed by a particular style.

ABOUT REA

Rea is an energy worker, somatic practitioner, creative movement therapist and a trained performing artist (dance, theatre and aerial) with 17 years of experience. Rea has performed on national television for shows like Jhalak Dikhlaja (Dancing With The Stars) and MTV Sound Trippin. She has played the protagonist in various theatrical productions such as Zangoora – The Gypsy Prince and Bollywood – A Love Story. Rea has performed at international festivals such as the Electron festival in Geneva, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her love for children has kept her involved in training and choreographing with children. She has been affiliated with schools like the American Embassy School, DPS World School, DPS Sushant Lok and Sri Ram School to name a few . She has also worked professionally on child-related issues such as autism, HIV and anger management.
