This series of workshops is an introduction to Bollywood dance with fitness moves! In these classes, the focus will be on developing stamina, strength & flexibility using the entire body, along with a pinch of Bollywood! In short, sweating it out in the most fun way possible and getting hold of the coolest dance moves, ever!
We will begin with a 15 minute warm-up which will help you in moving different parts of the body freely & will further help in creating muscle memory. This will be followed by specific footwork and hand movements. We will then move to Bollywood cardio which will go hand in hand with Bollywood choreography using the techniques learnt in class.
Umang Gupta, a trained dancer who has performed at various stages nationally and internationally, started her dance training at the age of 7 and has trained under teachers from India and abroad. Umang is trained in Bollywood, Kathak, Jazz, Hip hop and Contemporary.
Umang has always been inclined towards learning dance and passing it on to others. Umang played a pioneering role in exposing the youth of Dehradun to various dance forms by teaching dance, and bringing in teachers for workshops.
The workshop is priced at Rs 600 if you pay online, and Rs 700 for a drop-in on the day.
