In this workshop we will work on the principles of ashtanga vinyasa and hatha, on strength, flexibility and stability along with fluid movements through various asanas. The focus will be on understanding the reasons behind doing asana practice, alignment of the body and the benefits of those for our body.
The workshop is suitable for beginners interested in the vigorous and demanding Ashtanga Vinyasa style of yoga created by K Pattabhi Jois. This workshop is a suitable preparatory introduction to the Ashtanga primary series. If we have a good group of students for it, we’d like to start regular classes towards teaching the Ashtanga primary series!
