The aerial hoop is a dynamic apparatus, a circular steel ring that provides the perfect frame for your acrobatic moves. It is a great platform for fluid movements, transitions and seamless sequences, especially when spinning!

As with any aerial skill, aerial hoop requires a skilful balance of strength, stamina and flexibility, something which you will progressively work on during the class. Aerial hoop helps in honing upper body muscle groups, improving your range of motion and active flexibility.

We begin with a 30 min session with techniques across the aerial disciplines to hone in on your strength and flexibility. They’re designed to not only complement your skills and movement on the apparatus, but also your overall fitness on the ground. We then move onto the hoop, learning a variety of poses and postures.
Lara started lessons and training in Odissi when she was seven, and then spent many years moving through tap dance, lyrical jazz and contemporary. She went on to pursue a diploma in movement arts, learning Tai Chi, martial arts and ballet. Her recent stretch as a student was at a summer camp for Aerial Arts Circus School in Brooklyn. The last year-and-a-half she’s been in Bombay, sharing and teaching her understanding of yoga, anti-gravity yoga and aerial skills.

Session 2: April 23rd 11.30 AM – 1.00 PM
The workshop is priced at Rs 1,000 for one class, Rs 1,600 for two classes. You’re welcome to sign up for the day which suits you, or both as well.
