Aerial Self Practice

Posted on

Hi everybody! I wanted to jot down some thoughts on how to organise aerial silks and hoop self-practice, so that students can still train with us following our permanent teacher’s departure. This is so that we can invite in strong teachers from all over the country, and sustain our aerial practice until we have someone awesome in Delhi to teach regularly at Delhi Rock. Hours, pricing & logistics ~ Students are welcome to come train during our open hours. The fees applicable for self-practice are the same as for climbing, and you can also purchase passes or a monthly, just like climbing. ~ We would like students to pair up with at least one more person, so that they have a “buddy” around both to […]

There will be partner drills involved so it’s safe and fun 🙂 The key elements taught will be: • 15 mins warm up – shoulders and wrist focus • Downward-facing dog […]

Photo credit Sigismondi Photography. Sat & Sun May 26-27 4.00 – 7.00 pm Rs 1,000 / 1,600 Ancient qigong and yoga are essentially two branches of the same tree. Though umbrella terms for a wide range of practices, both yoga and qigong are concerned with unifying the body in order to refine ones ‘qi’ or ‘prana’ to achieve higher states of being. While much of modern yoga has become synonymous with ‘flexibility’, the Chinese systems are thought to have better maintained their roots. The simple movements of qigong allow the student to easily and effectively feel the internal flows of energy in the body.   Once connected with this energy, we can carry this sense in to our yoga asanas to correct obstructions in flow […]
