Please join us for a diverse and individualised introduction to aerial arts – Ria Bajaj (@ria.rbajaj) will be working with both hoops and silks, and is almost certainly India’s best trained professional aerialist, somebody we hope can fill the rather large shoes left by our excellent former teacher! These sessions are suitable both for folks completely new to aerial arts, as well as former students who are intermediates and looking for further refinement and to sustain their practice. Hi everybody! I wanted to jot down some thoughts on how to organise aerial silks and hoop self-practice, so that students can still train with us following our permanent teacher’s departure. This is so that we can invite in strong teachers from all over the country, and sustain our aerial practice until we have someone awesome in Delhi to teach regularly at Delhi Rock. Hours, pricing & logistics ~ Students are welcome to come train during our open hours. The fees applicable for self-practice are the same as for climbing, and you can also purchase passes or a monthly, just like climbing. ~ We would like students to pair up with at least one more person, so that they have a “buddy” around both to […]

If you’ve come to our shows in years past, do please head back in for the 2018 summer edition! Our students continue to get stronger, and a show is really the perfect way to experience the beauty, drama and rigour of aerial silks. The show is on Saturday May 5th, at 7.00 PM at Delhi Rock, and will run for an hour and a half. Please tell your family and friends about our show. We love showing our community what our aerialists have been up to throughout the year, celebrate their and our teacher Dasha’s wonderful hard work. Please join us for a two hour intensive intro to silks – we wanted to set up a workshop to help people learn the basic warmup, stretches, conditioning and cool down for silks, so that they can learn these fundamentals, and experience the art of aerial silks. You will learn some of the basic ties and poses on silks in this class. A good pre-requisite to check yourself for the class is being able to do a 45 second plank. Conditioning and Movement for Aerialists with Leah Curtis

This class is specifically targeted for students of the aerial arts to further enhance the skills and conditioning needed for improved performance. It will include Pilates-based isometric exercises to target key areas of the body. There will be movement work to find grace and performance quality that can be applied to aerial work.
